Linda Perry Releases New Song “Let It Die Here”

American singer-songwriter Linda Perry released a new song “Let It Die Here” on March 27, 2026.
The song is the title track of her upcoming solo album “Let It Die Here”, which is set to be released on May 8, 2026 via Kill Rock Stars and 670 Records.
The track is a confrontation with corrupted faith, inherited guilt, and the cost of survival.
It was written and produced by Linda Perry. The track features Ben Lecourt (drums), Billy Mohler (bass), Nick Maybury (guitar), Chris Price (piano/organ), Nicole McCabe (saxophone), Julien Knowles (trumpet), Nick Crane (trombone), Ashley Washington (background vocals), Sharon Youngblood (background vocals), along with 17 string players.
Linda Perry said of the song, “I wrote this song while taking care of my mom when she was really sick. At first, I thought it was about her dying... but it’s really about learning to let go. That’s what this album is about, and this song is a big piece of that story.”- The new album comprises 17 tracks, written and produced by Linda Perry. It is her fist solo album in 27 years, following the 1999 album “After Hours”.
The album was made during the filming of the documentary of the same name, directed by Don Hardy. The film is scheduled to be released on May 19, 2026.
Linda Perry said of the album, “I'm trying to think of something brilliant to say about my new album but I can't. It didn't come from a place of brilliance. It came from abuse, neglect, manipulation, wanting to be loved, and never feeling good enough. Let It Die Here is about survival, acceptance, and letting go. It's the best and worst of me.” -
