MALIA Releases New Song “Touch”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter MALIA released a brand new song “Touch” on March 27, 2026.
The song is the third single off of her upcoming EP “If I'm Being Honest”, following “Not a Love Song” and “Masquerade”.
The EP is set to be released this spring.
The track explores the quiet power and complexity of physical and emotional intimacy, tracing the ways touch can both ground us and unravel us in the space between desire and hesitation.
It was written by Malia Cunningham, Taylor Whitelaw, and Nick Green, who also produced the track.
The new EP comprises 6 tracks, produced by Nick Green. MALIA and Nick Green have worked together since her 2017 EP “Late Bloomer”. They recorded it at Furaha Sound in Los Angeles for six weeks.
Across the EP, she explores intimacy in all its forms: romantic, physical, internal, and platonic.- MALIA told Rolling Stone about the EP, “It fits perfectly, because these works of art are honest representations of me. It may be a little bit provocative, and it may turn some heads, but the songs are true. I'm leaning into the best version of myself. Now, I can sink into that and be okay with being just me and not apologizing. This is who I am, and this is my offering.”
She added, “I've had different situations in my life. I've had men that I'm very attracted to, but generally those ones don't bring any of the depth that I'm seeking. And then I've had divine, generous men, but the chemistry just wasn't there. I'm writing about wanting the whole package. I'm not shallow, but I'm nuanced.” -
