breakkaway Returns With New Song “Portrait set on fire”
New York-based global collective breakkaway returned with a new song “Portrait set on fire” on March 25, 2026.
The group consists of Jessica Li, Case Fadell, Romain Dammann, Jorge Gonzalez Diez Gutierrez, Toji Kimura and Ethan Chan, who hail from China, Mexico, France and the United States.
The song is their first new music in two year. Also, it is the first release under their new label Epitaph Records.
It was written by Jessica Li, Jorge Gonzalez Diez Gutierrez, Case Fadell, Ethan Chan, Romain Dammann, and Toji Kimura. Produced by Jessica Li, Case Fadell, Romain Dammann, Toji Kimura, Nathan Smart, and George Lever.
The accompanying lyric video was directed by Josh Ang and Wetmochii.- The group said of the song, “Grateful to start this new chapter in collaboration with Epitaph Records. No AI was used in the making of this song or the visuals. Everything was done by real people.”
