mary in the junkyard Announces Debut Album “Role Model Hermit”, Shares New Song “Crash Landing”
London-based indie-rock band mary in the junkyard, consisting of Clari-Freeman Taylor (vocals/ guitar/cello/viola/violin), Saya Barbaglia (bass/viola/violin) and David Addison (drums), has announced their upcoming debut album “Role Model Hermit” will be released on July 3, 2026 via AMF Records.
The album comprises 11 tracks, which the band recorded with producer Oli Bayston at Studio Orbb in London.
The band said, “We are so excited to announce that our first born will be released to the world - new, shiny and fresh to all ears but ours. putting it together has been a labour of love, with many wise souls involved in the making, we can’t wait to put it into the wild world.”
From the album, the band released a new song “Crash Landing” on March 24, 2026.
The song is accompanied by a music video, directed by Maisy Banks and Jacob Ray.
It was written by Clari Freeman-Taylor, Saya Barbaglia, and David Addison. Produced by Oli Bayston.- The band lead singer Clari-Freeman Taylor said of the song, “It’s about fear and how men often rely on keeping their emotions secret, and how you have to crack them open. To be the only one that’s seeing one side of someone, it’s trapping.”
