Arkayla Releases New Song “Run Kid”
Manchester-based indie rock band Arkayla, consisting of Cal Blakebrough (vocals/guitar), Finley Rubens (guitar), Joe Harley (bass) and Dylan Murphy (drums), released a new song “Run Kid” on March 18, 2026.
The song is their first new music since the EP “DON'T LOOK FOR ANSWERS”, which was released last October.
Driven by driving guitars and crashing drums, the track is an infectious track that boasts their dexterous lyricism.
It was written by Cal Blakebrough, Finley Rubens, Joey Harley, and Dylan Murphy. Produced by Rich Turvey.
The band said of the song, “Run Kid is a proper optimistic tune, it's about ignoring all the bullshit that gets in the way of life and keeping on moving forward. It has a punkier energy to it than our other songs which is a side of our sound which we used to try and fight. With Run Kid we let go of all expectation for what we should be writing and just threw the kitchen sink at it. It's easily our favourite tune in our set at the minute.”- Arkayla embarks the UK tour in May. The tour kicks off at Oporto in Leeds on May 7, 2026 and will conclude at The Sunflower Lounge in Birmingham on May 30, 2026.
After the tour, they will support British singer-songwriter Paul Weller's UK tour.
