  • Borderline Releases New Song “Watching It Burn”

  • New Zealand indie pop-rock band Borderline, consisting of Ben Glanfield (lead vocals/guitar/keyboards), Matthew McFadden (lead guitar), Jackson Boswell (drums/vocals), and Max Harries (bass), released a new song “Watching It Burn” on March 12, 2026.

The song is the follow-up to “Tainted”, which was released last month.
On the track, the band returns to its rock influences, delivering distorted guitars, thunderous drums, and a saxophone solo.
It was written by Harry Charles, Ben Glanfield, Jackson Boswell, Matthew McFadden, and Max Harries. Produce by Nic Manders and Harry Charles.
The accompanying music video was directed by Tom Grut.
  • The and said of the song, “'Watching It Burn' is one of our favourite songs. It hits you with this colossal wall of sound, huge distorted guitars and massive drums that takes us back to our rock roots. It’s so much fun to play live as a band, especially with the saxophone solo at the end, which Max absolutely crushes. This is the Borderline track we want people to turn up loud and sing while driving with the roof down. It’s about watching something that you’ve worked so hard to build just burn to nothing. Whether it’s someone or something, it’s an area so many people can relate to in their own way.”
