Arkells Releases New Song “Ride” featuring GROUPLOVE

Canadian alt-rock band Arkells, consisting of Max Kerman (vocals/rhythm guitar), Mike DeAngelis (lead guitar), Nick Dika (bass), Tim Oxford (drums) and Anthony Carone (keyboards), teamed up with American alt-rock band GROUPLOVE to release a new song “Ride” on March 11, 2026.
This marks the first collaboration between Arkells and GROUPLOVE.
The song is the fourth single off their upcoming album “Between Us”, which is set to be released on April 17, 2026 via Universal Music Canada and Virgin Music Group.
The track pairs GROUPLOVE's signature balance of soft vocals and punching falsettos, with Arkells' comforting indie-pop groove.
It was written by Christian Zucconi, Hannah Hooper, Max Kerman, Michael DeAngelis, Anthony Carone, Nick Dika, and Tim Oxford. Produced by John Congleton.- The band front Max Kerman said of the song, “On its face, the song is about riding a bike in the city. That unbridled feeling of pedaling along to the song in your head. But beneath the surface, the bike's a metaphor. When life tries to bribe you with a litany of material things, can a simple, utilitarian object like a bicycle be all you need? We asked GROUPLOVE to join us because when Christian and Hannah sing together, we feel a chemical reaction to their voices. That pure, explosive freedom we needed in the song.”
