Dua Saleh Releases New Song “I Do, I Do”

Los Angeles-based Sudanese-American singer-songwriter Dua Saleh released a new song “I Do, I Do” on March 11, 2026.
The song is taken from their upcoming sophomore album “Of Earth & Wires”, which is set to be released on May 15, 2026 via Ghostly International.
The track is a nod to Sudanese proverb (“He who mixes poison is bound to lick his fingers”) and Sudan.
It was written by Dua Saleh and William Lemos. Produced by Billy Lemos.
The accompanying music video was directed by Braden Lee.
Dua Saleh said of the song, “'I Do, I Do' is rooted in Sudanese colloquialisms and idioms, using the vernacular as a vessel for something much larger - societal collapse, and the subsequent destruction of the Earth. The survivors, post-apocalypse, now scrounge for resources, Wild Wild West style. We incorporated an Oud into the song as well as a nod to Sudan.”- The new album comprises 11 tracks, featuring guest appearances from Bon Iver, Gaidaa and aja monet, produced by Billy Lemos.
It is their first album in two years, following the 2024 album “I SHOULD CALL THEM”.
Dua Saleh said of the album, “I think we got like six songs within the span of three hours. The war in Sudan was taking place, AI was emerging, and it just felt like the world might be ending. I was just kind of ruminating on where I could find my place as an artist amongst the terrain of AI, and I was lonely and overwhelmed. I missed my mom and my siblings; I felt like I was losing my accent being there, just questioning the notion of home on many levels. I started weaving an album around the music that we had made together, that we had collaborated on with other producers from Minnesota, where I grew up.” -
