The Maine Releases New Song “Quiet Part Loud”

American alt-rock band The Maine, consisting of John O'Callaghan (vocals), Kennedy Brock (guitar), Jared Monaco (lead guitar), Garrett Nickelsen (bass), and Pat Kirch (drums), released the second single called “Quiet Part Loud” from their upcoming tenth studio album “Joy Next Door” on February 25, 2026, following “Die To Fall”.
The album is set to be released on April 10, 2026 via Photo Finish Records.
The track was written by John O'Callaghan, Jared Monaco, Kennedy Brock, Garrett Nickelsen, Pat Kirch, and Sean Slverman. Produced by Sean Silverman and John O'Callaghan.
As with the previous song, the accompanying music video was directed by Guadalupe Bustos.
The band frontman John O'Callaghan said of the song, “Some songs take months or years to write, and some take hours. This one came together quickly out of necessity, because time is sometimes not on your side. With that notion in mind…say what you want while you still can.”- The new album comprises 11 tracks and was written and recorded in sequential order to emphasize its storytelling arc.
To date, the band has assigned a specific color to each album, with the new one represented by green.
Drummer Pat Kirch said of the album, “Every album of ours has a color that represents it, and Joy Next Door is the green era. The green grass on the album art feels like it matches perfectly with the organic instrumentation and imperfections left intact on the album.” -
