Erin LeCount Releases New Song “ALICE”
London-based singer-songwriter Erin LeCount released a new song “ALICE” on February 23, 2026.
The song is the fifth and final pre-release single from her upcoming third EP “PAREIDOLIA”, which is out this Friday (February 27th).
It was written by Erin LeCount and produced by Erin LeCount. The accompanying music video was directed by Sam Taylor-Edwards.
Erin LeCount said of the song, “'ALICE' is a self written and self produced song about when addiction, love, codependency and competition come together and bind you to someone. It is about the bond between two people who struggle with the same thing and the grief of when the person who knows you better than anyone else in the world is the worst person for you to be around. It is the final track of my EP 'PAREIDOLIA' and a complex ending to a soundtrack to spiral to.”- She added, “I always felt this song had to stand alone for a moment before PAREIDOLIA is released this Friday because it has continually been the most sobering song to sing onstage and listen to offstage. This song is about when addiction, love, codependency and competition come together and bind you to someone. It’s about the bond between two people who struggle with the same thing, intoxicated by both the vice and by each other. It’s about when leaning on each others shoulders becomes an act of dragging each other down. It’s about the grief of when the person who knows you better than anyone else in the world is the worst person for you to be around. It’s not about pointing the finger or blame, It’s about loving someone whilst hating the parts of yourself they reflect back to you. It took me a long time to write a song that accurately depicts what that type of bond feels like - to own up to the part I play in it. To write about not only about the person and myself, but this third thing - the entity that exists between us that we are both connected by. I wrote many versions of this song and this was the only version that ever felt fair, and ever felt it did justice to the feeling of that love, and what it’s like when it decays, when you must choose to remain there or to walk away from someone you care about for both of your sakes. I’ve received many beautiful interpretations of this song - ‘ALICE’ is both a person and a manifestation of everything associated with her - addiction, self-reflection, temptation. It’s not a light hearted song by any means, but in many ways feels the most responsible and grown up, the most promising that there is life on the other side of it all and an intention to walk away - which is why it has always been the last song of the EP, and why I wanted to give it early.”

The new EP comprises 6 tracks, written and produced by Erin LeCount. It is her first project since the 2025 EP “I Am Digital, I Am Divine”.
Erin LeCoun said of the EP, “This EP is about falling down the rabbit hole. Six songs that follow a downward spiral. See you down the rabbit hole. There are not enough words to tell you what this EP means to me and how it has held me the last year of my life. Thank you for everything I cant wait for you to hear it all in the rightful order of the downwards spiral.”
