Slayyyter Releases New Song “OLD TECHNOLOGY”

American singer-songwriter Slayyyter will release her upcoming third studio album “WOR$T GIRL IN AMERICA” on March 27, 2026.
It is her first album in three years, following the 2023 album “Starfucker”. Also, it is the first release under her new label Columbia Records.
From the album, she unveiled a new song “OLD TECHNOLOGY” along with a music video on February 24, 2026.
The song is the fifth single off of the album, following “DANCE...”, “CRANK”, “CANNIBALISM!”, and “BEAT UP CHANEL$”.
It was written by Slayyyter and Jakob Rabitsch. Produced by Yakob. The music video was directed by Slayyyter herself.
The new album comprises 14 tracks, produced by Austin Corona, Hamish, Valley Girl, Wyatt Bernard and Yakob.- Slayyyter told Zane Lowe of Apple Music about the album, “I'm turning like 30 this year. And I started doing this when I was like 22. And I feel like I was, like, a hairstyle receptionist. And then slowly, as people started to tap into my music. You kind of want to feed your audience, rather than making what you like, which is why you even started doing it in the first place. So I just, I feel like this project. I was like, I'm like, almost 30, and I can't, like, like my ninth year on like, the up and coming list, like, I can't do it. So, I just went and I was like, I want to make as crazy and as loud and as brash music as I can. I'm not gonna make, like, dance pop. I feel like that's not really what I'm interested in right now. Not that I don't like it. I always will love that. But I just was, like, kind of seeking something different.”

She shared about the album's sound on social media, “ME. me as an artist. the sound is purely me. people are going to try to compare it to current artists which is soooOoooo annoying and annoys me already but micro trend terminology has no place here . this new music is truly the essence of me. soft and sweet, nasty and vicious, heavy and fast. im rapping im SPITTING im singing my heart out tapping into my full vocal range its real instruments its electronic its punk its indie electro its sad its funny its clever its dark its bitter. its when u put an ipod on shuffle and u hear a track by U2 then m.i.a then kid cudi back to back but they all feel sonically related. it's the album i was born to make and took many years of sharpening my skills and gaining live music/stage experience to create.” - source : Apple Music
