Brooke Lee Releases New Song “Desert Darling”
Nashville-based country music singer-songwriter Brooke Lee will release her upcoming sophomore EP “Desert Darling” on April 17, 2026.
It is her first project in three years, following the 2023 debut EP “I've Been Thinking”.
From the EP, she released the title track “Desert Darling” as the second single on February 20, 2026, following “Burn to Black”.
Brooke Lee co-wrote the song with producer Danielle Blakey.
The track captures falling in love when every moment feels electric and impossible to let go.
Brooke Lee said of the song, “Those first conversations with someone can hold so much magic. Dancing in new arms can make you feel alive in a way nothing else can. Getting to know someone and falling for the little things you learn leaves you completely mesmerized. You never want the butterflies to end or the rush to fade. It's young, passionate, and a love that feels like it can take on the world.”- The new EP comprises 6 tracks, which Brooke Lee recorded with producer Danielle Blakey and her tour band. It is rooted in personal experience.
She said of the EP, “I’m obsessed with road trips, so I intentionally crafted the songs and production to feel like the perfect soundtrack for a long drive - free, reflective, and becoming my own. My years from 19 to 25 were filled with stories and growth, and, as this chapter closes, I wanted to share the moments that impacted me most. ’Desert Darling’ is a snapshot of my journey from a young, free-spirited 19-year-old who fell head over heels, had her heart broken, who sometimes still wonders if she’ll find that kind of love again, and now is at peace with where she is.
