J.MYSTERY Releases New Song “Change”

Portuguese singer-songwriter J.MYSTERY released the first single of 2026 called “Change” on February 20, 2026.
The song is the follow-up to “Scars On My Heart” which was released last July.
Written and recorded in Portugal, the song began in his home studio before being developed alongside longtime collaborator and producer Francisco Reis.
The track became his most collaborative project so far, featuring Gonçalo Salta on drums, Miguel Campos on piano, Luis Correia on bass, Andrés Malta on guitar, IAN on violin, Nikolai Gimaletdinov on cello, Ana Ribeiro on violin, and Mateusz Stasto on violin, giving it a sense of scale while retaining its intimacy.
Lyrically, inspired by the current state of the world, the song confronts indifference and silence with urgency, focusing on responsibility, awareness, and choice. At its core, the track asks a simple but uncomfortable question: “If you know you can make a difference, how do you live with staying quiet?”- J.MYSTERY described the track as “one of the most beautiful pieces I've created to date.”
He added, “Change lives in the moment you stop looking away. Where fear meets hope, and silence becomes a choice.”
J.MYSTERY will support Father John Misty across two headline shows in Portugal, performing at Sagres Campo Pequeno in Lisbon on June 1 and Coliseu do Porto AGEAS in Porto on June 2, 2026.
He describes as “an incredible honour, deeply grateful and excited to have been personally chosen by Father John Misty and his team.” -
