  • Linda Perry Announces New Album “Let It Die Here”, Shares First Single “Beautiful”

  • American singer-songwriter Linda Perry has announced her upcoming solo album “Let It Die Here” will be released on May 8, 2026 via Kill Rock Stars and 670 Records.

It is her fist solo album in 27 years, following the 1999 album “After Hours”.
The album was made during the filming of the documentary of the same name, directed by Don Hardy. The film is scheduled to be released on May 19, 2026.
From the album, she released the first single “Beautiful” on February 23, 2026.
Initially, she contributed this song for American singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera in 2002, and reached No.2 on the US Billboard Hot 100 and No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart.
This time, she recorded her reimagined version of this song for the album. The track was written and produced by Linda Perry.

Linda Perry told Rolling Stone, “I believe this song is extremely important, no matter what year it is released or how old you are. I'm really happy that I was brave enough to record my own version, because Christina Aguilera did such an amazing, beautiful job. I have to pat myself on the back, though, because I'm the one that got that performance out of her.”
  • The accompanying music video was directed by American actress Sara Gilbert.
The video features Linda Perry's son Rhodes Perry, American actor Lukas Haas, Ozzy Osbourne's grandchild Pearl Osbourne.

Linda Perry said of the video, “When I wrote 'Beautiful,' I had no idea I was struggling inside. 'I am beautiful no matter what they say.' 'They' represents the insecurities we all face, the fear that makes people unkind simply because someone or something is different. 'Beautiful' is about self-expression, being free to be whoever you want to be. 'Don't you bring me down today.' Don't you dare try to make me feel less than, not good enough, or ugly because I don't look like you. Don't treat me like I don't matter just because I do not speak or think like you. I will shine in every single way, and no one can take that from me, you, or anyone. Sara Gilbert captured the innocence and vulnerability of a brave child unafraid to show the world who they are. While stepping in front of a neophobic crowd, our star shines a light on how beautiful difference can be.”

Sara Gilbert added, “Rather than a traditional music video, I approached 'Beautiful' as a short film about finding confidence and strength in the face of intolerance. My hope is that it encourages even a handful of people to be braver in their truth - and perhaps a few others to reconsider what beauty can mean.”

  • The new album comprises 17 tracks, written and produced by Linda Perry.
Linda Perry said of the album, “I'm trying to think of something brilliant to say about my new album but I can't. It didn't come from a place of brilliance. It came from abuse, neglect, manipulation, wanting to be loved, and never feeling good enough. Let It Die Here is about survival, acceptance, and letting go. It's the best and worst of me.”
