Bea Elmy Martin Releases New Song “Anouk”

London-based singer-songwriter Bea Elmy Martin released a new song “Anouk” on February 19, 2026.
The song is the fourth single off of her upcoming album “Under The Yew (Vol 2)”, following “Lost”, “Born To Fly”, and “Unscarred”.
The album is the second part of her two-part debut album “Under The Yew”. The first part, titled “Under The Yew (Vol 1)” was released last May.
The track offers one of her most intimate moments yet. Written about her best friend, whom she met at university, the song captured slowly as their relationship changed and deepened over time.
It was written by Bea Elmy Martin and Bea Elmy Martin, who also produced the track.
“This project has been a personal excavation. Under The Yew transforms loss into light-each track a step toward unscarred resilience. 'Anouk' feels like coming home,” Bea Elmy Martin said of the song. “'Anouk' is a song I wrote about my best friend. While recording it, we were living on opposite sides of London, which was challenging at times, but we made it work. Because the song is about someone I love very deeply, every session I felt a push to make it sound more and more ethereal because she is so special to me.”- She continued, “In a way, the song moved alongside our friendship as it grew and changed. Going back into a song multiple times doesn't mean you lack intention. Sometimes it's exactly what a song needs. A lot changed for both of us during the writing process and I think that movement is woven into the song itself. You can hear the growth, the distance, and the closeness all living side by side.”
She added, “I kept going back to this one more than any other - not because I didn't know what it was, but because it kept evolving alongside our friendship. Sometimes revisiting a song is needed and it now feels like home. Because it's about someone I love so deeply, I felt this constant pull to make it softer, more ethereal - something that felt as special as she is. It really feels like a snapshot of a specific age, place and chapter of our lives & all the growth, the distance and the closeness living side by side.” -
