Marty Kolls Returns With New Song “Drive.”
Canadian singer-songwriter Marty Kolls returned with a new song “Drive.” on February 18, 2026.
The song is her first release in three years, following the 2023 single “Say It Out Loud”.
Also it is the first single of a few songs to come out in the next few months.
Inspired by both time spent behind the wheel and her work as a songwriting instructor, “Drive” grew out of a lesson Marty taught her students.
The track reflects on awareness, contemplation, and the importance of continuing on even when the road ahead isn’t fully visible.
It was written by Martha Anne Kolls and produced by Simon Larochette.
Marty Kolls said of the song, “I started with the driving rhythm, and it fit well with lyrics I had already written. I put myself to the test of writing all of the assignments along with my students. It was a great source of inspiration to be presenting for them at the same time as they presented to me.”- She continued, “The rhythm of the piano feels like the movement of the car as it’s driving. I want the audience to sing along to the chorus so I can sing the extra lines over top. I want them to feel like they are a part of the song.”
She added, “The first time I performed it was in front of my students and I had them sing the chorus at the end of the song so I could sing the extra vocals on top. They sounded incredible and made it come to life. I knew this would be the next thing for me to work on. They all got As. :-)” - source : Apple Music
