SZA Releases New Song “Save The Day” from Pixar's New Film “Hoppers” Soundtrack

American singer-songwriter SZA joined Pixar's upcoming animated film “Hoppers” soundtrack.
This marks her first time appearing on the soundtrack in four years, following the 2021 film “Dear Evan Hansen” soundtrack.
She contributed a new song “Save The Day” to the film, which will be used in the film's end credits.
The film was directed by Daniel Chong, starring the voices of Piper Curda, Bobby Moynihan, and Jon Hamm.
The story follows Mabel, an animal lover whose mind is transplanted into a lifelike robot beaver, allowing her to communicate with animals and save their habitat from destruction.
Director Daniel Chong is a huge fan of SZA's music. He had used her songs “Good Days” and “Saturn” as placeholders for the end credits during the making of the film. And then, he asked SZA to write a song for the film.
The track was SZA, Rob Bisel, and Ben Lovett. Produced by Rob Bisel and Ben Lovett.- Daniel Chong told Laughing Place about the song, “I think there was an intuitiveness in talking with SZA that when she saw the movie, I think she immediately knew what the movie needed. She understood Mabel as a character immediately.”
The film is scheduled to premiere at the New York International Children's Film Festival on February 28, 2026, and will be released in theaters on March 6, 2026. - source : Apple Music
