Freya Ridings Releases New Song “Wild Horse”
British singer-songwriter Freya Ridings released a brand new song “Wild Horse” on February 20, 2026.
The song is the second single off of her upcoming third studio album, following “Wicker Woman” released last October.
The new album (yet untitled) is expected to be released in 2026. It is her first album in three years, following the 2023 album “Blood Orange”.
She first performed the song during American pop rock band OneRepublic's Escape to… Tour in New Zealand earlier this month.
The track was written by written by Freya Ridings, Michael Matosic, and Sam de Jong, who also produced it.
She recorded it with producer Sam de Jong in Los Angeles last year.
The accompanying music video was directed by Nic Minns.- Freya Ridings said of the song, “This song is for reclaiming your true power after the end of a toxic relationship. Finding a way to break free of the mental shackles they put around you and NOW finding the joy and freedom in becoming yourself again.”
She added, “Writing ‘Wild Horse’ for me as an artist felt like the true expression of unbridled freedom. I found my creative spark again with the support of an incredible collaborator Sam De Jong (Gracie Abrams, Pink, Muse). It truly feels like finding my voice again.” -
