mgk Drops New Music Video for “starman”
American rapper and singer-songwriter mgk (Machine Gun Kelly) dropped a new music video for “starman” directed by Sam Cahill on February 19, 2026.
Director Sam Cahill also directed mgk's other videos, including “Vampire Diaries”, “Cliché”, and “Hey Miss Sunshine”.
The song is featured on his seventh studio album “lost americana”, which was released last August.
The track samples American rock band Third Eye Blind's “Semi-Charmed Life”, which was released from their debut album “Third Eye Blind” in 1987.
It was written by SlimXX, mgk, Stephan Jenkins, Kevin Cadogan and Arion Salazar. Produced by BazeXX, Dark Waves, No Love For The Middle Child, Travis Barker and SlimXX.
The video features footage from the lost americana Tour stage, including the massive Statue of Liberty stage set from the first North American leg.- mgk shared on social media, “It's gonna be sad to say goodbye to this era because years from now, I feel like people will realize it was heavily underrated and didn't fully take it in while it was here. Even down to the production and stage build of this set.”
