kwn Premieres New Song “hopeless romantic” on BBC Radio 1
British singe-songwriter Khyra Leah Wilson, aka kwn premiered a new song “hopeless romantic” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
The song is her first music since the 2025 debut album “with all due respect”.
She is currently working on a new project. The song will appear on it. She said, “I'm dropping a project, which is cool, super proud of the music that's on there.”
It was written by David Marcus, K Wilson, and Joel Compass, who also produced the track.
The track features David Marcus on guitar and Joel Compass on programming.
kwn told Jack Saunders about the song, “I think that I'm just really tapping into the honest side of me and being a little bit more vulnerable with people or my audience. I just given them a taste of something that they haven't really heard before.”- She continued, “I think I've grown a lot in the last year or two, musically and personally as well. So I just felt like the right time to just dive into that side of me and let people hear it. I keep saying that, like my audience. I have kind of built a brand for myself that I've pushed out to everyone. And I'm not mad about it, I love it. But I think they forget that I'm also still human at the same time. So I just wanted to be more honest with me and everyone else too. So then having to give that out to the world as always, a whole nother thing. But I'm learning. A little piece. It's a weird feeling, but I know it's important, because I'm like, if I want people to actually connect with me, then I've got to do stuff like that.”
