  • Tubefreeks Returns With New Song “Flower”

  • Maryland-based hard rock band Tubefreeks, consisting of Paul van Valkenburgh (vocals), Brian Murray (guitar), George Koch (guitar), Chris Badolato (drums) and Byron Horgash (bass), returned with a new song “Flower” on February 18, 2026.

The song is their first music in over year, following the 2025 single “Animal”.
The track channels the tension of peak post-grunge with a modern melodic heaviness, blending a familiar energy with a fresh, present-day edge that keeps it feeling urgent and current.
Lyrically, the song oscillates between proximity and fallout. It gets right to the heart of how something beautiful can still hurt.
The band sings, “rays of sunshine / pressure’s in the air / you know I’ll find the wounds inside you.”
It was written by Chris Badolato, Paul van Valkenburgh, George Koch, Brian Murray, Clint Lowery, and Byron Horgash. Produced by Tubefreeks.
The accompanying music video was directed by Tom Flynn.
  • Co-writer Clint Lowery said of the song, “When I started working with Tubefreeks, I was drawn to the groove of the music, the uniqueness of Paul’s vocals. I always gravitate to working with artists with good work ethics and they have no shortage of that. Collaborating with them has been such a fulfilling experience.”
