Failure Announces New Album “Location Lost”, Shares New Song “The Air's on Fire”

Los Angeles-based alt-rock band Failure, consisting of Ken Andrews (vocals/guitar/bass), Greg Edwards (bass/guitar) and Kellii Scott (drums), has announced their upcoming seventh studio album “Location Lost” will be released on April 24, 2026 via Failure Records/Arduous Records/Virgin Music Group.
It is their first album in five years, following the 2021 album “Wild Type Droid”.
The album comprises 9 tracks, featuring a guest appearance from American rock band Paramore's Hayley Williams.
It was recorded after the completion of their 2025 documentary “Every Time You Lose Your Mind, Location Lost”.
The band bassist Greg Edwards said of the album, "It's very different. There are sounds and parts that really don't have any precedence within the Failure world.”- From the album, the band released the first single called “The Air's on Fire” on February 17, 2026.
The track was inspired by the surgery the band lead singer Ken Andrews underwent for a back injury.
It was written by Ken Andrews and Greg Edwards. Produced by Failure.
The accompanying music video was directed by Sean Stout.
Ken Andrews said of the song, “That song is directly about my surgery and waking up. I basically coded. Everything was spinning. I kept saying, 'Turn the air on. I'm fine - just take me home.' I was definitely not fine.” -
