Krooked Kings Releases New Song “Ugly Love”

Salt Lake City-based indie-rock band Krooked Kings, consisting of Oli Martin (vocals/guitar), Paul Colgan (guitar), David Macey (keyboards), Matt Monosson (bass) and Quinn Casper (drums), released a new song “Ugly Love” on February 13, 2026.
The song is the fourth single off of their upcoming fourth studio album “In Another Life”, which is set to be released on March 27, 2026.
“Ugly Love” finds the band leaning into the messier side of romance, trading polish for emotional clarity.
It was written by Yves Rothman, Oliver Martin, Matt Monosson, David Macey, Paul Colgan, Quinn Casper, Casey Smith, and Josh Wei. Produced by Yves Rothman.
The band guitarist Colgan said of the song, “Ugly love is a song about accepting someone fully, seeing their imperfections as endearing and their scars as part of a story that makes them whole. Young relationships can often have you wearing rose-tinted glasses, but beyond the honeymoon stage you learn to embrace what you cannot change, leading you to love the person even more.”- “Ugly Love” follows earlier singles “Rancher's Daughter”, “Parking Lot”. and “My Friend Max”. Together, these releases trace the emotional arc at the heart of “In Another Life”, from small-town yearning and the rush of new love to the quieter realization that real connection often exists in the messy middle.
The album comprises 10 tracks, which the band recorded with producer Yves Rothman in Los Angeles.
It is their first album in two years, following the 2024 album “Shiver”. - source : Apple Music
