Brontës Releases New Song “Wouldn't Be Me”

Scottish indie-pop band Brontës, consisting of Eva (vocals/guitar), Amelia (drums/vocals), Erin (guitar/vocals) and Katie (bass/vocals), will release their upcoming self-titled debut album on April 21, 2026 via Last Night From Glasgow.
From the album, the band released a new song “Wouldn't Be Me” on February 13, 2026.
The song is the third and final-prerelease single, following “Cognitive Dissonance” and “San Francisco”. The track received its first play during Amazing Radio.
The anti-Valentine's anthem is a punchy take on disliking someone's boyfriend, knowing their standards should be higher. This song is a playful request to dump him and move on.
The band sings, “Time after time you know he’s going to cross the line / Why would you settle for just fine / Move on babe / To tell you the truth, you should cut the guy loose / If you know what’s good / Move on babe”
The track was written by Eva Watt, Erin Reidy, and Amelia Haldane. Produced by Stuart MacLeod.
The band said of the song, “Wouldn’t Be Me was so fun to record earlier this year at Beetroot Studios with Stuart MacLeod.”- Brontës joined label Last Night From Glasgow in 2021.
“First Hand Arrogance” and “Groove” were released as an AA side 7-inch single in 2022 .
In 2023, they followed with singles “Down To You” and “He's Not Racist”. Continuously developing their sound, the band released their first EP “Element of Revival” in 2024 with accompanying remix by Roller Disco Death Party.
Later in the year two more singles followed; “Strange Town” and “Headlines”.
Fast forward to 2025 and Brontës have recently finished recording their highly anticipated debut album at Ayrshire's Beetroot Studio with Stuart MacLeod. -
