Mae Stephens Releases New Song “Blue”

British singer-songwriter Mae Stephens released her brand new song “Blue” on February 13, 2026.
The song is the first single of 2026, following “Done With U”, released last November.
Also it was released ahead of her debut UK headline tour.
On the track, she introduces a different side to herself, swapping the sass for the sultry and melding retro Motown-inspired grooves with enough of a contemporary edge to give that traditional sound a dose of unpredictability.
The song is accompanied by the Willow Hazell-directed music video.
It was written by Mae Stephens, Morien van der Tang, and Jheynner Argote Frias. Produced by Morien van der Tang and Morgan Avenue.- Mae Stephens said of the song, “Blue simply started with an intro. Something I don't really hear as much anymore. I wanted to create a story with this song walking through what it's like to cross a 'blue line'. To me a 'blue line' is the line to cross when there is no other option but to call it quits. I wanted to create something that doesn't represent an angry breakup but a pattern of disappointment and frustration that leads to the final cut off point. I think this song follows very well from my previous release 'Done With U' as they sit in the same bracket of cutting someone off/out of your life, just simply in a more pleasant, less aggressive way.”

The debut UK Tour kicks off at Arts Centre in Norwich on March 18, 2026 and will concluded at The Lower Third in London on April 1, 2026.

Mae Stephens said, “I can't believe I finally get to share this with you… I'm going on tour! Mark your dairies. In March next year, I'm coming to a town near you. This has been such a long time coming, and I cannot wait to step back on that stage and feel that energy with you all again. Who's coming with me?!”
