Fleurie Releases New Song “Valentine”

Nashville-based alt-pop singer-songwriter Lauren Sloat, aka Fleurie released a new song “Valentine” on February 13, 2026.
The song is the follow-up to Little Black Dress, which was released last month.
The track was inspired by her parents' love story on the Valentine's Day.
It was written by Lauren Sloat and Trent Dabbs. Produced by Jordan Sloat and Chase Weber.
She recorded the song at Little Big Sound, with Cory Pierce on guitar, Casey Moore on guitar, David Curran on bass, Harrison Wood on drums, David Ramirez on keyboards, David Davidson on violin, David Angell on violin, Monica Angell on viola, and Paul Nelson on cello.
The accompanying music video was directed by Daniella Mason.- Fleurie said of the song, “This is why I literally wouldn't exist without Valentine's Day part one. These are my adorable parents. Growing up, we were all super into Valentine's Day. Every year we would wake up to the kitchen table being all decorated with like flowers, present. One year, we went to a roller rink as a family, and my mom and I literally won prizes for wearing the most red and the most hearts. I have a deep love of hearts that comes from my mom and I think comes from their love story. They met in the 80s, and in 1984 my dad asked my mom to marry him on Valentine's Day with a heart shaped ring, and she said yes. They got married and five years later, I was born, they decorated my childhood bedroom with white and pink heart wallpaper. This is just the beginning of the story. so stay tuned speaking part two.”
