Elder Island Announces New Album “Hello Baby Okay”, Shares New Song “Pink Lemon”

Bristol-based electronic music trio Elder Island, consisting of Katy Sargent (vocals/cello), Luke Thornton (bass) and David Havard (guitar/keyboards), has announced their upcoming third studio album “Hello Baby Okay” will be released on May 8, 2026.
This marks their first album in five years, following the 2021 album “Swimming Static”.
The album comprises 10 tracks and emerged from free-flowing jam sessions, drawing on '90s club culture and threaded with lilting funk-pop guitars and driving rhythms.
From the album, the trio released a new song “Pink Lemon” on February 11, 2026.
The song is the second single off of the album, following “Ordinary Love” released last November.
It was written and produced by Elder Island.
The accompanying music video was directed by Anton Larkin.- The band said of the song, “'Pink Lemon' is about escaping monotony and dreaming of being whisked away from the everyday. We wanted it to sound like old analogue holiday photographs, with a sun glare on the image, the light and warmth of golden moments. We used classic 90s filters (famously used by Daft Punk), like the Mutronic Mutator and the Electrix Filter Factory, to bring in a slight vintage character, but kept the focus on letting the bright, silky guitar riff shine for that sunny, soul-pop feel.”
They continued, “Along with this second single, it's our great pleasure to announce a full album. It feels like a fresh start for us. We took time to step out of the music industry's ceaseless grind to produce this one. A body of work that could echo the playful, relaxed attitude we took in making it. We wanted the joy to shine through.” -
The band said of the album, “This has been a real journey for us, coming out of a time of uncertainty and confusion we wanted to make something joyful and immersive. We slowed things down to carve out a time to write and produce, to reconnect with the music and each other. It feels like a fresh start. We hope the joy in the music shines through and echos the playful attitude we took in making it.”
