Erin LeCount Releases New Song “DON'T YOU SEE ME TRYING?”

London-based singer-songwriter Erin LeCount will release her upcoming third EP “PAREIDOLIA” on February 27, 2026.
It is the follow-up to the EP “I Am Digital, I Am Divine”, which was released last April.
From the EP, she unveiled a new song “DON'T YOU SEE ME TRYING?” On February 11, 2026.
The song is the fourth. Single off of the EP, following “808 HYMN”, “MACHINE GHOST”, and I“ BELIEVE”.
It was written and produced by Erin LeCount, featuring Kirsty Mangan on viola, Matt Ingram on drums and Rachael Lander on cello.
The accompanying music video was directed by Sam Taylor-Edwards.
Erin LeCount said of the song, “'DON'T YOU SEE ME TRYING?' is a self written and produced song about the euphoria of self sabotaging just when things get good. The danger and joy of giving in to old habits, the manic impulse to throw it all away, a reckless abandon and invitation back into a downwards spiral. A heavy synth bass behind frenzied live strings and fractured vocal chops – sonically flying and lyrically falling. It is a cathartic confession of relapse with no desire to be rescued.”
She added, “It is a return to old patterns and behaviours because it feels familiar. It feels exciting sometimes. It is one of the most important songs I've written I think, for myself. It was cathartic to make.”- The new EP comprises 6 tracks, written and produced by Erin LeCount.
She said of the EP, “'PAREIDOLIA' is a self-written and produced EP that tells the story of a downward spiral. The tale of falling down a rabbit hole, a willing return to self destruction. The true definition of 'pareidolia' is 'the tendency to perceive meaningful connections between unrelated things or ideas' e.g. seeing shapes in clouds, or a face in the moon. It is a distorted, warped perspective of reality and of self, it's the brain's way of seeking familiar patterns that make us feel safe. I have lived vicariously through these songs the last year, crafting them in their intensity and heart and impulse, writing through that distorted lens and playing the unreliable, occasionally paranoid narrator over heavy synth basses, relentless live strings and synthetic shimmery harps.” -
She continued, “This EP is not me leading by example, it is a crossroads, a cautionary tale to myself. A body of work that I have lived vicariously through all of last year. It is bitterly close to my heart and although the EP is centred around a warped twist of reality, a fantasy, a distorted view of yourself and the world, it is a very honest EP for me. Making it was a freeing and complex and twisted but transformative process. I have poured everything into this. Thank you for your love and kindness on everything.” - source : Apple Music
