  • Nick Jonas Releases New Album “Sunday Best”

  • American singer-songwriter Nick Jonas released his fifth solo album “Sunday Best” released on February 6, 2026.

This marks his first album in five years, following 2021 album “Spaceman”. Also, it is the first release under his new label Republic Records.
The album comprises 11 tracks (deluxe edition 14 tracks), featuring guest appearances from Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas from Jonas Brothers.
Produced by James Amaradio, Matt Bronleewe, Ryan Daly, Tommy English, Kevin Farzad, Jeff Gitelman, Jeremy Hatcher, and Joel Little.
In addition, Canadian singer-songwriter JP Saxe, American indie pop band MUNA's Josette Maskin, and Norwegian singer-songwriter Ina Wroldsen contributed songs.
The album was inspired by his health journey. Nick Jonas was diagnosed with the chronic condition Type 1 diabetes diagnosis at 13.
The album cover features his continuous glucose monitor (CGM).

Nick Jonas told TODAY.com about the album cover, “This album for me was all about transparency. I worked with some incredible co-writers who really helped me articulate some things that I’ve been thinking and feeling for a long time. The fact that the music is some of my most transparent and vulnerable that I’ve ever written, I wanted the album cover to symbolize, first of all, this idea of looking at yourself in the mirror. When I looked at the frame and saw the Dexcom G7 on my arm, I was really excited at the idea of leaning in and not doing a version without it because I want people to see this is the real me. This is what my life is like, day in, day out, living with Type 1 diabetes. I’m really going to go to very honest places with this music and about a number of things ... my relationship, fatherhood, my experiences, and living with Type 1 diabetes for over 20 years is a huge part of my story.”
  • Nick Jonas said of the album, “I'm so excited to share these new stories, candid thoughts, quiet walks home in the city, and snapshots of my life over these past few years. And while this album was made over the course of the last two years, it was truly 33 years in the making.”

He continued, “This album is made up of snapshots from across my life. Pieces of who I’ve been, who I’ve become, and the people who shaped the journey. Making it meant trusting honesty over expectation and letting go of what something was supposed to sound like, even when it was uncomfortable. Looking back at this process fills me with gratitude. Thank you to my incredible collaborators who created an environment where this could exist. To everyone who has listened, supported and connected with these songs, thank you for giving this album a place in your own lives and for letting it meet you wherever you are. And to my family, Pri and MM, you are the center of my whole universe. I love you with all that I am. There is no Sunday best without you.”

  • Nick Jonas explained some tracks for the album.

    “Sweet to Me” via TODAY.com
“It is about a lot of different things, but the first verse begins talking about the safety and innocence of childhood — memories like going to Blockbuster with my dad and the hot pizza box on my lap, and how visceral that feeling of just knowing that you're safe to walk around your neighborhood and everyone knows each other's names, and wanting to get back in touch with those simpler days. As the song progresses, the second verse touches on a lyric, which I love: 'When the doctor told me there's too much sugar in your bloodstream, baby, that's too sweet. It's just too sweet.”

    “Gut Punch”
“I wrote Gut Punch for all of us learning to give ourselves a little more grace.”
He continued, “Life comes at you, and sometimes it gets a little tough, and the way we speak to ourselves. I feel like we could all do a better job of just being nice to ourselves and to each other, frankly. and I don't know I've felt this way for a long time, and didn't really know how to say it, but teamed up with some great collaborators who helped me give these feelings a voice. I literally walked in and just said, 'I think my hair stopped growing.' And I love that these co writers were kind and thoughtful enough to hear me out as I spun out about the fact that I thought my hair was not growing. And it was actually a metaphor for the fact that maybe my growth was stunted as a person. We started this verse. I didn't know where to take us, but I think we all got to a place where we felt like we said something that we wanted to share with the world.”

    “Princesses”
“My daughter loves Princesses and loves to play Princess. The day we wrote that song, l'd come in - me, JP Saxe and Gitty were writing a different song. And then basically I went to the bathroom, came back and was like, 'Wait, can we just try something and just take a swing and see?' I didn't know if it was something they would connect with, but I said, '1 have this title, Princesses,' and they both stood up straight and were like, 'Yes, let's do that.' The verses are just speaking about how I see her and how she sees the world. And the chorus is that desire to just play princesses and stay stuck in that moment with her forever if I could.'”

    “London Foolishly”
“London Foolishly is a song I wrote alone in a hotel room when I was 17 and shared once on a livestream back then. Staying true to the underlying theme throughout Sunday Best of connecting with your inner child, it felt right to revisit it now and give it a proper recording. A gentle reminder that rediscovering the things a younger version of you was passionate about can be both comforting and a lot of fun.”
