MUNA Announces New Album “Dancing On The Wall”, Shares Title Track

Los Angeles-based alt-pop band MUNA, consisting of Katie Gavin (vocals/guitar), Josette Maskin (lead guitar) and Naomi McPherson (guitar), is back.
The band has announced their upcoming fourth studio album “Dancing On The Wall” will be released on May 8, 2026 via Saddest Factory Records/Secretly Group.
This marks their first album in four years, following the 2022 self titled album.
It is also the first time the group has reunited since Katie Gavin's 2024 solo debut album “What A Relief”.
The album comprises 13 tracks, produced by Naomi McPherson.
From the album, the band unveiled the title track “Dancing On The Wall” as the first single on February 10, 2026.
It was written by Josette Maskin, Katie Gavin, and Naomi McPherson, who also produced the track.
The track features Josette Maskin on electric guitar, Sarab Singh on drums, Daniel Tashian on Synthesizer, and Lou Roy on background Vocals.
The accompanying music video was directed by Dante Capone.- MUNA said of the song, “Dancing On The Wall is possibly our favorite song we've made as a band. We think it's all the best parts of MUNA - it's coming from a really emotional and lonely place, but the song itself makes us feel powerful and euphoric. It's written in the moment that the clock strikes midnight at the ball, and you have to give up the fantasy. In this case, it's the fantasy of loving someone or something that can't love you back.”
