Sylvaner Releases New Song “Plastic Love”
American singer-songwriter Sylvaner released a brand new song “Plastic Love” on February 6, 2026.
The song is the follow-up to “Pentimento”, which was released last December.
Both songs will appear on his upcoming debut album.
The track began life as a brooding, atmospheric Chicago house-inspired demo, something he describes as sounding “like you were in the bathroom while the club was going on outside.”
After finishing most of his album, Sylvaner realised there was nothing to move to, and reworked the song with a new sense of groove and momentum.
The track was written and produced by Darian Boyd, with Colton Henrikson as co-writer.
Sylvaner said of the song, “I need a plastic love is the thesis of the lyrical content. It came from a place where I didn't want to settle with someone, but I still wanted my fun. I knew I wasn't alone in feeling that, especially growing up in Las Vegas. But I also acknowledge the sacrifice and the emptiness in that choice.”- He added, “Written, Arranged, and Engineered by myself with masterful guitar and bass work from Colton Henrikson and lush harmony assistance from kailyn. I am very happy to finally share this with everyone as my second single. The cover artworks to accompany the track were done over a year ago by a close friend of mine Dorian Espinoza (Oza). Thank you for bringing the idea to life.”
