  • Arkells Announces New Album “Between Us”, Shares New Song “Next Summer”

  • Canadian alt-rock band Arkells, consisting of Max Kerman (vocals/rhythm guitar), Mike DeAngelis (lead guitar), Nick Dika (bass), Tim Oxford (drums) and Anthony Carone (keyboards), has announced their upcoming new album “Between Us” will be released on April 17, 2026 via Universal Music Canada and Virgin Music Group.

It is their first album in two years, following the 2024 album “Disco Loadout, Volume I”.
The album comprises 11 tracks, featuring guest appearances from GROUPLOVE, Portugal. The Man, and Poolside.
The band recorded it with producer John Congleton in Los Angeles.
From the album, the band unveiled a new song “Next Summer” on February 5, 2026.
The song is the anthem that finds comfort with the uncertainty of the future.
It was written by Max Kerman, Michael DeAngelis, Nick Dika, and Tim Oxford. Produced by John Congleton.
The accompanying music video was directed by Mark Myers.
  • The band said of the song, “When someone new enters your life, do you ever wonder, ‘what did last summer look like for this person? And for me? And what will next summer look like?’ This song is a nod to the beauty and the mystery of what might lay ahead, and an appreciation of how we got to today. There's a longing in the song, but it’s hopeful.”
