Dionne Releases New Song “Out Of My Mind”
London-based indie rock singer-songwriter Dionne released a new song “Out Of My Mind” on February 4, 2026.
Dionne is previous known as guitarist and backing vocalist for British alt-rock band Florence + The Machine.
The song was released ahead of supporting Florence + The Machine's The Everybody Scream Tour in Liverpool, Sheffield, London and Manchester.
The track will appear on her upcoming debut EP, which is expected to be released in 2026.
It was written and produced by Dionne Douglas, with production by Duncan Hamilton.
Dionne said of the song, “This song speaks to my inner state. My concern for humanity and my part in that. I'm reaching out my hand hoping someone understands and reaches back. I feel there's a growing sense of disillusion. How did we get to this? Sometimes I feel such concern for humanity.”- Dionne told NOCTIS about the song, “When I write and produce, it's all based around a specific feeling/mood/colour. Often, I won't know what sound I'm looking for, but we find it by describing how it feels. For instance, I knew that the pre chorus 'There's no light, it's so dark, Stole my heart…' needed to feel like that moment when you're on a plane that's bouncing it's way through the clouds, and then suddenly you break through the cloud into this glistening kind of stillness that is vast. The lyrics here are still describing this kind of helplessness, but in contrast the music purposefully sounds like hope.”
She said of the debut EP, “Maya Angelou said to 'Tell the truth', so this EP is me telling my truth as it looks and feels now; about the world and my part in it.” - source : Apple Music
