D.O.D Premieres New Song “Confession” featuring Poppy Baskcomb on BBC Radio 1

British DJ Daniel O'Donnell, aka D.O.D teamed up with London-based singer-songwriter Poppy Baskcomb to premiere a new song “Confession” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
This marks their second collaboration, following Australian DJ Sonny Fodera's collaborative song “Think About Us” released last October.
The pair first performed the song at O2 Academy in Leeds on January 31, 2026.
It was written by Poppy Baskcomb, Daniel O'Donnell, Alex Cramp, and Holly Nikita Quin-Ankrah. Produced by D.O.D and Alex Cramp.
D.O.D told Jack Saunders about the song, “Poppy's just got that vibe. I went into a studio session. It's the first time we actually met. And just get along great. And I think when things flow that, well, it's always great.”- He continued, “For me, when I'm making music, it's got to work in a DJ set. And I'm just kind of getting a picture in my own head, like, how, where in my set will this, will this record work? So I'm always trying to make records that kind of slot into a certain part of my DJ set. And this slots in very, very nice.”
Poppy Baskcomb added, “I mean, Dan's just a nice guy, easy to work with. I like people that are easy to work with makes my life easier. I think when people just get on good music always comes out of that sort of thing, really. We just wanted an emotional kind of like banger. To be fair, like something that people can relate to, that feeling of wanting someone on a late night or when you're out in the club.” - source : BBC Radio 1
