Kat Cunning Releases New Song “Sore Thumb”
American singer-songwriter and actress Kat Cunning released a new song “Sore Thumb” on February 3, 2026.
The song is their first music since the debut 5-track EP “Glass Jaw”, which was released last October.
It was written by Katrina R Cunningham and Anna Barbara Schulze. Produced by Anna Schulze.
The accompanying music video was co-directed, co-choreographed and performed by Kat Cunning, Baylie Olsen and Annie Grove.
Kat Cunning said of the song, “For anyone who feels threatened for being different today, I hope this song can protect and embolden you. Sore Thumb is about coming to terms with the fact that you don’t fit in, learning to hone and love that natural superpower. Even when the world tries to punish you for standing up, or 'sticking out.'”- They continued, “Thank you to my family of twins who made this soul project with me years ago. Honored to share intimacy and community through the universal language of dance and music.”
