Lala Lala Releases New Song “Arrow”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Lillie West, aka Lala Lala will release her upcoming fifth studio album “Heaven 2” on February 27, 2026.
It is the first release under her new label Sub Pop Records.
From the album, she released the fourth and final pre-release single called “Arrow” on February 4, 2026.
The song is accompanied by a music video, which was directed by Laura Gordon and Jackson James.
It was written and produced by Lillie West, with production by American singer-songwriter Jay Som, aka Melina Duterte, who also played guitar, drum kit, and bass, featuring Alan Wyffels on piano.
The track samples French electro-pop band La Femme, and she sings “None of this was supposed to happen.”- The new album 10 tracks, co-produced by Lillie West and Melina Duterte, featuring guest appearances from Sen Morimoto, Macie Stewart and Porches' Aaron Maine.
The album was written when Lillie West left her hometown Chicago and travel through New Mexico, Iceland, and London. Before returning to America and moving to Los Angeles, she released an instrumental album “if i were a real man i would be able to break the neck of a suffering bird” in 2024.
Lillie West said of the album, “It’s such a basic spiritual thing. Resistance is the root of all suffering, and I did not know that. I thought that I could dictate the course of my life.”
She added, “wherever you go, there you are.” -
