Joy Anonymous Premieres New Song “JOY (Nobody Ever)” featuring Tamaraebi on BBC Radio 1

London-based electronic duo Joy Anonymous, consisting of Henry Counsell and Louis Curran, premiered a new song “JOY (Nobody Ever)” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
This time, the duo teamed up with London-based singer-songwriter Tamaraebi on the track.
The song is their first music since the EP “Joyous People (South East Corner)”, which was released last September.
They first performed the song at The Jazz Cafe in London on January 25, 2026.
The track was written by Joy Anonymous, Tamaraebi, and FRED. Produced by Joy Anonymous and FRED.
The duo told Jack Saunders about the song, “So the vocal you're about to hear is by Tamaraebi. And he recorded this in his garden. And it's just him sitting on a little keyboard, singing, and we use exactly the vocal as you hear, no chops, no pitching. It's just him live from his garden.”- They continued, “I just when first heard Tamaraebi singing it, it just felt like one of those songs that has always been there. So it's like an evergreen song that like, I thought it was a cover at first. And it just came from his chest. And I don't know, it's rare to hear those kind of songs today where it's just purely about, like meeting someone that affected your life. And you can't really describe it, except for trying to write the of a song. I think that's what he did, really.”
They added, “We talk about this a lot. It's so important to feel that human element, especially now with technology replacing things and sounds in particular. We definitely tried to capture that and keep it as pure as we could.” - source : BBC Radio 1
