Katelyn Tarver Releases New Song “So Am I”
Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter and actress Katelyn Tarver will release her upcoming third studio album “Tell Me How You Really Feel” on March 6, 2026 via Nettwerk.
It is her first album in two years, following the 2024 album “Quitter”.
From the album, she released the sixth single called “So Am I” on January 30, 2026.
The song is accompanied by a music video, which was directed by Catherine Herber.
She co-wrote the song with Chad Copelin and Riley Biederer. Produced by Mikey Reaves.
The track features Aksel Coe on drums and Tofer Brown on bass.
Katelyn Tarver said of the song, “A song about feeling empowered by the chaos and thrill of choosing yourself, even when you don’t have all the answers. Being truly surrendered to the uncertainty and open to what it will bring. Hope y’all love it! Song written with my king and queen Riley Biederer and Chad Copelin.”- The new album comprises 13 tracks, which she recorded with longtime collaborators Grammy-nominated producer Mikey Reaves and Chad Copelin.
She made the album following the end of her ten-year marriage in 2024, and it was inspired by American actress Ali Wong's documentary “Single Lady”.
Katelyn Tarver said of the album, “There’s a parallel between comedy and turning real-life situations into art. I had watched Ali's special 'Single Lady' about her life post-divorce. I thought it was powerful to be as honest as possible. I said, 'I don’t know if I'll ever make another album like this again, so I might as well go for it.' The title is a direct statement - 'Tell me the truth. Tell me how you feel. Tell me everything.' I hope this album can be a companion to you if you’re trying to forge your own path.
