Hayley Williams' New Project Power Snatch Releases New Song “ASSIGNMENT” & Debut EP “EP1”
American rock band Paramore vocalist and singer-songwriter Hayley Williams teamed up with producer Daniel James to launch their new project Power Snatch.
Hayley Williams and Daniel James have worked together on her two solo albums “Flowers for Vases / Descansos” (2021) and “Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party” (2025).
“Ego Death at a Bachelorette Party” was nominated for Best Alternative Music Album at the 2026 Grammy Awards.
The band premiered a new song “ASSIGNMENT” on Apple Music 1.
In additionally, the band released the debut EP “EP1” on February 1, 2026 via Bandcamp.
Back in December 2025, the band released their first song “DMs”, exclusively on Bandcamp, surprising fans.
This time, the debut EP comprises 3 tracks, including “DMs”, written by Hayley Williams and Daniel James, who also produced it.
But the new song and the debut EP were released separately: “ASSIGNMENT” on Spotify and Apple Music, and “EP1” on Bandcamp.- Hayley Williams told Kerrang! about working on her solo album away from Paramore last October, “It wasn't time to make another Paramore record, but I had a lot of shit to say, so I've done what I've done for myself and made this record. I'm finally willing to, like, let that happen. And it's okay that it's me by myself and not Paramore right now. Paramore will always have its time because it's just what we do. We cycle back in and out of it. We resent it one minute. We wanna, like, wear matching clothes in the next minute.”
