A*Teens Returns With New Song “Iconic”
Swedish pop music group A*Teens, consisting of Dhani Lennevald, Sara Lumholdt, Amit Sebastian Paul and Marie Serneholt, returned with a new song “Iconic” on January 30, 2026.
The song is their first music in 24 years, following the 2002 album “Pop 'til You Drop!”.
It was released ahead of the group's performance at Melodifestivalen on January 31, 2026, Sweden's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The track was written and produced by Dino Medanhodzic, Jimmy Jansson, Lina Hansson, Cazzi Opeia and Thomas G:son.
The group said of the song, “We didn't know it then, but the response we received after our interval act at Melodifestivalen 2024 became the starting point for our comeback. Over the past two years, we've toured and traveled around the world, meeting our audience, and the idea of new music started to appeal to us. It feels big, nerve-wracking, and completely right to launch it at Melodifestivalen.”- They added, “We are the luckiest who get to work with only the best people in the industry.
So thank you ALL for making this happen. So to all of you who made it possible for us to come back after 22 years with a song we're so proud of and being able to launch in the best way possible. But... we've only started.” -
