Chevas Phillips Releases New Song “Stories”
Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Chevas Phillips released a new song “Stories” on January 30, 2026.
It is a gospel anthem to how Jesus changed her destiny.
Initially, she was supposed to be released the song last year, but was hit with an unexplained medical emergency which took her voice away for several months, and the release was pushed back to January 30.
The track was written by Mia Fields, Anne Wilson, and Jonathan Smith, who also produced it.
Chevas Phillips said of the song, “Stories is a song of how Jesus changed my life and an anthem of who God is and who he always will be. I pray this song finds you like he found me and that you find yourself humming and believing this truth over your own life in the days to come! This song was so much fun to record and has been an anthem in my life for the last year and a half. On the darkest day in the worst circumstances, it's songs like this one that I shout to the doubt and remember that the God I serve is only faithful. On the mountain top, He's good. In the valley, He's even better.”- She added, “This song was supposed to come out last year. So I actually got the opportunity to do it live for the very first time with some of my best girls at a women's conference. Right after this video I'm about to show you was taken I got hit with some still to this day, unexplained medical issues that took my voice for months hence, to why it didn't come out last year, but instead comes out on January 30.”
