Hana Lili Releases New Song “Ur Girlfriend's a Lawyer”
Welsh singer-songwriter Hana Lili released a new song “Ur Girlfriend's a Lawyer” on January 16, 2026.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Pop with Jodie Bryant.
It is the third single off of her upcoming EP “Hana”, following “Undress Me” and “Sick of Myself”.
The EP comprises 5 tracks and is set to be released on April 17, 2026 via Nettwerk.
The track was written by Christopher Nicholas Ostler, Hana Llyr Evans, and Mark Daniel Vallance. Produced by Christopher Nicholas Ostler and Daniel Newcombe.
Hana Lili said of the song, “'Ur Girlfriend's a Lawyer' is a song about this guy who had a girlfriend, but he was overstepping the line of boundaries. I wrote this song a while after the situation happened, and I think as time went on, I just thought more about the situation and the girlfriend involved... and you kind of realise how much of an idiot he was. I wanted the song to be full of energy and unforgiving.”- She added, “I kind of like having a picture of what the song is, especially when it's heavier, so I know what feeling I'm trying to convey. the songwriting on this song took ages.. it was like a very stressful jigsaw. it's about this guy who has a girlfriend and it's like.. well if she knows and is ok with what happened then great, but if she doesn't well now I guess she does. also there's blast beats in the middle 8 and I really like that. my drummer does not.”
