Kanine Premieres New Song “Power” on BBC Radio 1
London-based DJ Kanine premiered a new song “Power” on BBC Radio 1's New Music Show with Jack Saunders.
He first performed the track in New Zealand earlier this month.
On the track, he worked with London-based singer-songwriters MAMI and Sam Harper.
It was written by Fergus Bossert and Chiara Cimilio. Produced by Kanine.
He will perform the track at Exhibition White City on March 28, 2026.
Kanine told Jack Saunders about the song, “I started like last summer, being a very talented singer-songwriter called MAMI, we wrote it together. And it went through so many iterations, so many different versions, but it re-sung with Sam Harper, who I did feel the vibration with. So this song kind of feels like a part two to that track. That track did really well. And it was basically like elevating what we did with that one, making it in second new, a new exciting version. So it took a while to get there, but the tune's done, and I'm so happy it's finally out.”- He continued, “It's nice working with people who are, like open minded. If, when you're in the studio and be like right, I want to write something crazy and new. It's kind of the idea with this track. We were like, right. We want to write something raves, write something crazy, being like, a new direction, a way nobody's done before. So it's exciting when you work with people like minded that are happy to hop on tunes like that.”
