Brooke Lee Releases New Song “Burn to Black”
Nashville-based singer-songwriter Brooke Lee released a brand new song “Burn to Black” on January 23, 2026 via Spirit Nashville Recordings and 2Mix Music.
The song is the first single off of her upcoming sophomore EP, which is expected to be released in 2026.
The new EP is her first project in three years, following 2023 EP “I've Been Thinking”.
The track looks back on a reckless first love that burned hot and fast, capturing youthful freedom, bad decisions, and a connection so intense it makes loving that way again feel impossible.
It was written by Brooke Lee, Jon Nite, and Danielle Blakey, who also produced the track.
Brooke Lee said of the song, “Your first love is intense, and so is the heartbreak. It leaves a mark that lingers long after, creeping back whenever you try to open your heart again. 'Burn To Black' isn't a break up song, or a miss you song. It's not an I'm moving on or I found somebody new song. It's one I wrote from a place of confusion when I got back in the dating world. Memories, boundaries, wants, and needs. Finding it all again.”- She continued, “'Burn to Black' is the ache of your first love, the unforgettable memories, and the heartbreak that lingers long after. It's a reflection on that intense time and the way those moments stay with you.”
