The Enigmatic Foe Returns With Two New Songs “Algorithm” & “Limping To The Finish Line”

American singer-songwriter Jared Colinger, aka The Enigmatic Foe returned with two new songs “Algorithm” and “Limping To The Finish Line” on January 23, 2026.
The songs are his first music in five years, following the 2021 album “The Original Plan”.
Also, two songs will appear on his upcoming sixth studio album “Like An Ocean”, which is set to be released on April 24, 2026.
The new album comprises 11 tracks (deluxe edition 38 tracks).
Leading up to the album's release, he plans to release two singles on February 20 and March 20, 2026, respectively.
Both songs were written and produced by Jared Colinger, featuring Jonathan Swift Behr on drums, Shelly Suminski on trombone, Charlie Peterson on trumpet, Chuck Mullican on tenor Sax, Brian Beukelman on piccolo trumpet, Elizabeth Hedman on violin, Ginny Luke on violin, Ginger Murphy on cello and “Log Cabin Fever” Choir: Stacy Littleton, Ryan Gaddis, Travis Stuart, Vincent Charlow, Bradley Foster Smith, James Coffman, Andrew Baxter, Jonathan Swift Behr, and Jared Colinger.- The first track “Algorithm” delves into the painstaking ways in which metaphorical and physical algorithms have us all in a chokehold. While the latter “Limping To The Finish Line” expresses the uncertainties of life after death, and stresses the importance of camaraderie through hard times.
Directly inspired by Fleetwood Mac's “Tango In The Night”, he balances relatability with melancholy, casting a focal point on his smooth vocals and delicate nylon guitar strums.
Jared Colinger said, “'Algorithm' and 'Limping To The Finish Line', it is the first of three singles that's coming out for the new album that'll be released in late April. Lot of cool stuff about to be announced for that. So stay tuned.” - source : Apple Music
