Fya Fox Returns With New Song “Sweet Goodbye”
Irish alt-pop singer-songwriter Fya Fox returned with a new song “Sweet Goodbye” on January 22, 2026.
This marks her first music in three years, since her last single “Duvet Day” in 2023.
The song is a poignant tribute to lost loved ones, reflecting on grief, remembrance, and the bittersweet space between holding on and moving forward.
It was written by Fya Fox snd Matthew Weir, who also produced the track.
Fya Fox said of the song, “'Sweet Goodbye' explores not being able to share big moments in my life with loved ones who have passed. It came together really naturally because it’s so close to my heart - I wrote the bones of the song at home on guitar and then went into the studio with some really strong sonic references.”- She continued, “Someone once said to me that grief never really goes away, everything around it just gets bigger... Every now and again tho the pain resurfaces when you remember you can't just call them up to tell them the good news and share the excitement. 'I feel torn, life goes on'.... You'll always be my biggest inspiration.”
She added, “I feel really excited but nervous about this release as it's been a minute. But it's authentic and honest and I hope listeners feel that when they hear it.” -
