Madison Beer Releases New Album “locket”

American singer-songwriter Madison Beer released her third studio album “locket” along with a new music video for “bad enough” directed by Aerin Moreno and Madison Beer on January 16, 2026 via Epic Records.
It is her first album in three years, following the 2023 album “Silence Between Songs”.
The album comprises 11 tracks, including “make you mine”, which was nominated for Best Dance-Pop Recording at the 2025 Grammy Awards. Produced by Madison Beer, Leroy Clampitt, Jasper Harris, Lostboy, Tim 'One Love' Sommers.
Madison Beer said the album, “After writing the album, it feels like each song lives within this metaphorical locket for safekeeping. Each album feels like an era and once the albums are out in the world the chapter for me, usually with what I wrote about, is closed.”
She continued, “I think tour has changed my life. I mean, this album is all because of tour. Like all the songs that exist on it, I'm picturing performing for people. It's changed my life a lot, and I think that's a really accurate thing to say.”
She added, “This album means the world to me, I've never been so proud or excited about something. This project is my world and metaphorically, literally my heart.”- Madison Beer told Travis Mills of Apple Music about the album title, “I wanted it to feel very personal to me and tangible. So I wrote down a list of things that felt like they were a part of my life naturally. I really wanted something that was vintage-sounding, something that felt delicate and girly. 'Locket' was one of the words that was there from the start.”

Madison Beer explained some tracks for the album.
“yes baby”
“'yes baby' is really just a fun and flirty song. After I shot the music video, though, it took on a whole new energy, and just feels like a song you want to blast with your friends.”
“bad enough” via Billboard News
“This song has definitely been one of the favorites since the album was made. We just kind of didn't know when to drop it. But it's it's it's really fun. I I love this song. I think that conceptually we wanted to make something that was like that feeling of knowing that you should get out of something, but it's not quite bad enough to get out of it. And I feel like I've spoken to so many people in relationships that are like I've literally heard people say, 'I wish he would cheat on me, or I wish he would do something to give me a reason to break up with him.' I wasn't, I'm not speaking for myself, but I've heard that be said before. And so, conceptually, I was like, 'How can we drill that?' And and really think about what that means is like knowing that something is not good, but it's not quite bad enough.”
“bittersweet”
“'bittersweet' is about the end of a chapter and the difficulty of coming to terms with it, while also recognizing that deep down you know it's for the best—and finding peace in that along the journey.”
“complexity” via Billboard News
“It is kind of video gamey in a way. I wanted it to have a video game essence to it. And 'complexity' was a word that I thought was just cool. And then we were like, 'How do we how do we write about that?' And it just was very simply created from there. And I really wanted it to be about me and everything I've been through and how I've managed to come out the other side of a lot of hardships and whatnot. And that's really what it's about. And like knowing your self worth and you know, not expecting someone to show up for you who can't show up for themselves. And that's really the main thing. and taking that blame off of yourself. I guess it was really like it's not me that's unlovable. It's like you don't have the love to give me. It's not me, you know, and that was that was a healing and freeing song to write for sure.”
“make you mine”
“It was made for my tour. I was about to head out, and then I was like, 'OK, I need something a little more dancey.' Because my album was full of ballads. Shot myself in the foot there. I want people to have fun at my show, to be able to dance. So I literally was like, 'Yo, [producer] Leroy [Clampitt], can I get in and make some fun shit for the tour?' And he was like, 'Yeah, of course.' So we literally went in on a random Tuesday in October [2023] and made 'Make You Mine.' And the second we made it, I was like, 'Wait, this is so fire.' We actually had a plan to release - so 'Make You Mine' was supposed to come on one Friday, and then another song was supposed to come on the next Friday, and another song was supposed to come on the Friday before tour. It was all just for the tour.”
