Ty Myers Announces New Album “Heavy On The Soul”, Shares New Song “Message to You”
American country music singer-songwriter and guitarist Ty Myers has announced his upcoming sophomore album “Heavy On The Soul” will be released on March 27, 2026 via RECORDS Nashville/Columbia.
It is his first album in over a year, following the 2025 debut album “The Select”.
From the album, he released the fifth single called “Message to You” on January 16, 2026.
The song is accompanied by the John Park-directed music video.
A deeply empathetic look at the cost of loving someone who lives their life on the road, the track was written by Ty Myers and produced by Brandon Hood.
He recorded the song at the historic FAME Recording Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL, where he worked with an A-list lineup of session musicians including guitarist Tom Bukovac, steel guitarist Bruce Bouton, bassist Mark Hill, and keyboardist Gordon Mote.- Ty Myers said of the song, “I wrote 'Message to You' in Barbados. I woke up in the middle of the night with a song idea and wrote it in about 25 minutes. Then I went back to sleep. When it pours out, it just pours out.”
The new album comprises 17 tracks, featuring a guest appearance from American rock band The Marcus King Band's lead singer and guitarist Marcus King, produced by Brandon Hood.
Ty Myers penned 11 of 17 songs entirely on his own, infusing each track with equal parts elevated songcraft and raw emotional realism. -
