BANNERS Releases New Song “My Empire”
Liverpool-based singer-songwriter BANNERS released his brand new song “My Empire” on January 16, 2026.
The song is the first single of 2026, following “Raise Your Colours” released last month.
As with the previous song, BANNERS co-wrote the song with British indie rock band The Wombats' drummer Daniel Haggis and worked with producer Joel Stouffer.
The '80s pop-influenced track is a romantic, dramatic love-as-salvation anthem about finding emotional safety and strength through a deeply supportive relationship.
BANNERS sings “You are my empire / The skies on fire outside this room / But in your arms, I'm bulletproof / If the kingdom falls, I still got you / You are my empire / The ground can shake and break in two / But I feel safe being next to you / No, I won't back down 'cause I can't lose / You are my empire.”
