  • Sassy 009 Shares New Song “Someone” on BBC Radio 1

  • Norwegian singer-songwriter Sunniva Lindgård, aka Sassy 009 will release her debut album “Dreamer+” this Friday (January 16th).

From the album, she released a new song a new song “Someone” on January 7, 2026.
The song received its first play during BBC Radio 1's Future Artists with Sian Eleri.
It is the fifth and final pre-release single, following “Butterflies”, “Enemy”, “Tell Me” with Blood Orange, and “Mirrors” with yunè pinku.
It was written and produced by Sunniva Lindgård. The accompanying music video was directed by Mikaela Kautzky.
As with the album, she recorded the song at her studio, which is a tiny room in an old school building.

Sassy 009 told Sian Eleri abut the song, “In that same room, so I was sitting in that same like little stereo space of mine. And the very first draft of it was very maximalistic. And then I just kept on, like removing things, and kept what was essentially, in my perspective, the core of this one, which is the drums and the bass and the top line.”
  • The debut album comprises 12 tracks, featuring collaborations with BEA1991, yunè pinku, and Blood Orange, produced by Sunniva Lindgård, Samuel Knowles, and Karma Kid,

Sassy 009 said of the album, “I started on this project in 2021, I think. And then there probably could have been three albums, along the process, but finally, it's just one record. And it's been there years of being in a process. Nice to be out of it, actually.”

She continued, “When I started the project, I was feeling very drawn to make these, like massive tracks, if that makes sense, like big tracks. But then along the process, I realized how melancholic, I was, I guess feeling to an extent. I guess it's a record that is like slowing things down and entering this sort of melancholic, dreamy state, maybe.“

  • Sassy 009 shared on social media, “I’m right at the edge of releasing what has been the greatest bliss and ache of my past few years. Dreamer+ has been existentially all-consuming and it surely knocked me off balance multiple times. There’s a particular kind of pain that comes with creative solitude, and although I chose that path for this record, I now look back on the process with a certain distance. The deeper I went, the more I drifted, unable to fully hold onto my own decisions, yet somehow still finding my way to a landing. I truly couldn’t have done this without the people around me.”

She added, “This record and period of time remains a riddle I don’t think I was ever meant to fully solve. And as I’m entering the other side of this project, I believe sharing it is the closest I’ve ever gotten to an answer.”
